A vajacial is a facial for the bikini area. You may also see it called a bikini facial, or spelled "vagacial." It treats the external skin along the bikini line: ingrown hairs, bumps, irritation from waxing or shaving, and the darkening that hair removal can leave behind. It does not remove hair, and nothing about it is internal.

What is a vajacial?
A vajacial is a skin treatment for the bikini area. Your esthetician cleanses and exfoliates the skin, releases ingrown hairs by hand, then finishes with a mask and a targeted serum. It treats bumps, ingrowns, irritation, and darkening from hair removal, on the external skin only.
Think about how much attention your face gets: cleanser, exfoliant, the occasional facial. Now think about the bikini line, which gets shaved or waxed every few weeks, rubbed by seams all day, and almost never gets any care at all. A vajacial gives that skin the same routine your face already gets.
The people who book one tend to fall into three groups. Clients who wax or shave regularly and keep getting ingrowns. Clients who want smooth skin before a trip or a swimsuit season. And clients with dark marks left behind by years of irritation, who want them to fade.
Why It Matters
Why the bikini area needs its own facial
The skin here has a harder job than almost anywhere else on your body, and it gets the least care. A few things stack up against it.
- The hair is coarser and curlier. Coarse, curly hair is more likely to bend back into the skin as it grows out, which is what an ingrown hair is.
- It takes constant friction. Underwear seams, leggings, and a day of sitting all rub the same spot, and sweat has nowhere to go.
- It gets shaved or waxed over and over. Every round of hair removal is a small stress on the skin. When dead skin builds up on top, regrowing hair can get trapped underneath it.
- Irritation leaves a mark. Skin that is irritated again and again can darken over time. That is a normal response, and it is the part clients often mind most.
Most of us exfoliate our faces without thinking about it. Almost nobody does the same for the bikini line, which is exactly where dead skin and trapped hair cause the most trouble. That gap is what a vajacial fills.
The Treatment
What happens during a vajacial treatment
A vajacial at Mysa takes 45 minutes. Here is how it goes, step by step.
A quick look first. Before anything touches your skin, we check the area and ask about recent waxing or shaving, the products you use, and anything that feels sore. If the skin is broken, infected, or actively irritated, we reschedule rather than push through.
A gentle cleanse. This clears sweat, product, and oil so everything after it works on clean skin.
A mild enzyme exfoliant. Enzymes loosen the layer of dead skin that traps regrowing hair, without the scrubbing that would irritate this area.
Extractions. Any ingrown hairs are released by hand.
A mask chosen for your skin. Picked for what the skin needs that day.
A brightening serum or spot treatment. Applied where there is darkening or old marks from irritation.

Why we wax first, then do the vajacial
A vajacial does not include hair removal, but you can add a Brazilian wax to the same visit for $90. When you book both, we always do the wax first and the vajacial second.
The reason is simple. Once the hair is cleared, the exfoliant, the extractions, the mask, and the serum all work directly on the skin instead of around hair. You leave with both jobs done in one visit.
A few practical notes if you are booking both:
- Let the hair grow first. For the wax to grip, hair needs to be about a quarter inch long, roughly two to three weeks of growth. Skip shaving in the weeks before.
- Plan on about 75 minutes. The Brazilian is a 30 minute service and the vajacial is 45.
- The total is $238. That is $148 for the vajacial plus $90 for the Brazilian.
If you shave instead of wax, you can book the vajacial on its own.

A painful, swollen lump, redness that spreads, pus, fever, or a bump that keeps coming back in the same spot is not something a vajacial should treat. Please see your doctor first, and come see us once your skin is clear.
Results Timeline
What to expect after one visit vs. regular visits
People searching for vajacial before and after results usually want to know whether one visit is enough. The honest answer is that it depends on what you came in for.
The ingrowns that were there are cleared and the skin feels smoother. You may see some redness where hairs were extracted.
New ingrowns and razor burn have less chance to build up, and darkening fades gradually. Dark marks build up over time, so they take more than one session to fade.
Frequency
How often should you get a vajacial?
There is no set schedule. One visit clears what is there now, and regular visits are what keep ingrowns and razor burn from coming back. If you wax, the simplest way to stay on top of it is to book your vajacial with your wax. A Brazilian lasts about three to four weeks.

How much does a vajacial cost at Mysa?
A vajacial at Mysa is $148 for 45 minutes. Adding a Brazilian wax in the same visit is $90, for a total of $238.

Does a vajacial include waxing?
No. A vajacial treats the skin, not the hair. You can add a Brazilian wax to the same visit for $90, and we do the wax first.
Is a vajacial internal?

Can I get a vajacial without a wax?
