HydraFacial and GLO2 oxygen facials in San Francisco
These are our two 75-minute technology facials, both $328, and the two treatments people ask us to compare most often.
The Mysa HydraFacial
Most clients describe it as a cool vacuum gliding across the skin. It's relaxing enough that some people fall asleep. The machine cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and infuses serums in one treatment, and we perform manual extraction on top of that when your skin needs it, which the machine alone doesn't do.
Your treatment includes one to two boosters chosen by your esthetician for what your skin needs that day, whether that's hydration, calming or fine-line support. We don't sell boosters as a session upgrade.
The fresh glow lasts about a week or longer. For lasting improvement in congestion, texture and overall skin health, we recommend a treatment every four to six weeks. Think of it like a fitness routine, but for your skin.
Being straight with you about the limits: a HydraFacial will not erase deep acne scars, it will not tighten loose skin the way a facelift does, and it will not permanently remove wrinkles, especially after one session. What it will reliably do is leave your skin noticeably cleaner, smoother and brighter with essentially no downtime.
The Mysa GLO2 Facial
GLO2 works differently. It oxygenates the skin using O2 bubbles, amplifies with LUX through a lite ultrasound treatment, and finishes with a lymphatic drainage massage to detox. If HydraFacial is the deep clean, GLO2 is the one people book before an event, for the immediate brightness.
Microchanneling at Mysa: the MicroGlow Renewal Facial
This is the most involved treatment on our facial menu, and the one we're most careful about who we perform it on. It's $398 for 60 minutes, and it's available to returning clients only. Full treatment detail, aftercare and booking live on the Mysa MicroGlow Renewal Facial page.
Your appointment includes numbing cream, LED treatment, the microchanneling itself, a hydrating mask and a neck and shoulder massage.
What microchanneling actually is
Microchanneling temporarily creates thousands of micro-channels in the skin, which the skin then repairs with new, healthy collagen. Those channels also let topical serums absorb far more effectively into the living skin below than they would through intact skin.
During treatment we apply serums containing naturally derived growth factors, peptides and cytokines. These restore biological communication within the skin during the wound-healing cascade, the same communication an aging immune system provides less and less of, and a large part of why skin recovers and heals more slowly as we get older.
How this differs from microneedling
The two are closely related and often confused. Both create controlled micro-injuries to trigger the skin's own repair response. The practical difference at Mysa is what goes into those channels: microchanneling is built around the serum infusion, not just the stimulation, and the growth-factor and peptide layer does as much of the work as the channels themselves.
We've been an authorized ProCell provider since 2022, and our estheticians are ProCell certified. Where we depart from a standard ProCell protocol is the serums. We use custom blends selected for your specific skin, plus complementary LED therapy, rather than a single serum applied to everyone.
What it feels like, honestly
It's not a relaxing treatment. Clients describe it in two ways. Some say it feels like a lot of small bugs biting, and that it's uncomfortable rather than enjoyable. Others say it's fine and easily tolerated. Which camp you fall into is hard to predict.
Immediately afterward your skin will be very red, similar to microneedling. Your skin barrier is temporarily open, so you can't apply makeup, and you shouldn't want to. That redness settles over the following hours.
What to realistically expect
Different concerns respond at different speeds, and we'd rather tell you that up front than have you disappointed after one session.

What it won't do: it won't replace surgical intervention for deep volume loss, and severe scarring may improve significantly without fully resolving. Anyone promising otherwise is overselling it.
Sessions, packages and aftercare
Single session, $398. Book and pay for three sessions up front and we include three complimentary neck treatments, each valued at $250.
We recommend a follow-up every four to six weeks. Many clients pair microchanneling with a HydraFacial or Signature Facial in between sessions, and we usually recommend Jan Marini Skin Solutions or Face Reality products for the at-home routine.
Aftercare matters more with this treatment than with any other on our menu. For 90 minutes afterward, apply nothing to the treated area and don't touch it with your hands, your phone or anything else, because bacteria from those surfaces can cause irritation or a breakout. Avoid direct sunlight for 24 hours. After 90 minutes you can apply sunscreen. Starting 24 hours after treatment, apply the Cellular Renewal Serum followed by the Healing Accelerator Serum, morning and evening.
Tightness, itchiness, warmth, sensitivity and a light sunburn appearance are all normal and are signs the skin is doing its work. Some mild flaking over the following days is also normal. Keep moisturizing. The more consistently you moisturize, the better the result.

What to expect at your first facial
Arrive a few minutes early
Arrive about five minutes early so you have time to fill out an intake form without rushing. There's water, and there's chocolate.
We look, and we ask
Your esthetician takes you back, looks at your skin, and asks what you're hoping to change. This is the part that decides what actually happens in the next hour, so it's worth being honest about products you've started, medications you're taking, and anything that's reacted badly before. If you've had Botox, filler, laser or a peel recently, tell us then.
The treatment
Cleanse, exfoliation, extractions where they're needed, mask, and finishing products chosen for your skin.
Afterward
We'll tell you what we saw and what we'd do next, with no obligation attached. If the honest answer is that your skin needs three months of consistent home care before another professional treatment makes sense, we'll say so.
Gratuity can be added at checkout at 15, 20 or 25 percent, or left in cash.
When we may ask you to wait
Facials are gentle. Gentle doesn't mean right for every skin condition on every day. At consultation we screen for the following, and where any apply we'll usually reschedule rather than proceed. This is about timing, not about turning you away.

- A rosacea flare-up
- Open cuts or broken skin
- Recently used Accutane
- Recent Botox, filler, laser or chemical peel
- Sunburn or recent significant sun exposure
- An active skin infection
- Prescription retinol use
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding, for anything other than Mama Radiance
For microchanneling specifically, add active acne to that list, and note that you can't be treated while taking medication that dries out the skin.
If you're pregnant, the Mama Radiance Facial is the only treatment we can perform.

How much does a facial cost in San Francisco?
At Mysa, facials run from $178 for the 50-minute Classic Facial to $498 for the HydraFacial Keravive scalp treatment. Most of our 75-minute facials sit between $238 and $328. Prices are all-in, and boosters included with the HydraFacial aren't charged separately. The full menu with every price is above.
Which facial is right for my skin?

How often should I get a facial?
Every four to six weeks is what we recommend for lasting improvement in congestion, texture and overall skin health. Think of it like a fitness routine, but for your skin. One facial is a good day for your skin. A rhythm is what actually changes it.
How long do facial results last?
The fresh, hydrated glow from a HydraFacial lasts about a week or longer. Structural changes, meaning texture, fine lines and scarring, build over a series rather than appearing after one session, which is why we talk in terms of a four-to-six-week cadence rather than a single appointment.
Is a HydraFacial worth it?
It depends what you want from it. If you want visibly cleaner, smoother, brighter skin with no downtime, then yes, and it's one of our most booked treatments. If you're hoping it will erase deep acne scars, tighten loose skin or permanently remove wrinkles, it won't do any of those things, and we'd point you to a different treatment or a different kind of provider.
What is the difference between microchanneling and microneedling?
Both create controlled micro-channels in the skin to trigger its own collagen-repair response. The difference in our treatment room is the emphasis on what goes into those channels. Our ProCell microchanneling is built around infusing growth factors, peptides and cytokines through the channels, with custom serum blends chosen for your skin rather than one serum used on everyone.
Can I get a facial while pregnant?
Yes, but only the Mama Radiance Facial. It's designed for expecting and breastfeeding mothers and uses products selected to be safe in pregnancy. We can't perform any of our other facials while you're pregnant.
Do you offer facials for men?
Yes. Every facial on our menu is performed on any skin that needs it. There's no separate men's menu, because there's no reason for one.

We ask you to put a card on file, but we don't charge it until after your service. Appointments can be cancelled up to one day before. Same-day cancellations aren't permitted, and no-shows are charged the full service amount, which is non-refundable.
